Mission Statement

The mission of the Moody Police Department is to protect the life and property of all people within the City of Moody. Our goal is to provide professional, competent, and proactive law enforcement service and protection to the City so that the inhabitants’ quality of life may be enhanced and they will have a feeling of safety and security in their community. The Department will meet this goal through personal and professional development of its personnel, strong ethics through effort and dedication, and a pledge of integrity to all who come in contact with the Moody Police Department.

I would like to thank Honorable Mayor Joe Lee, the City Council and the citizens of Moody for allowing me this opportunity to serve the community. I also would like to thank all former Moody Police Chiefs for their years of service to the City of Moody and the Department. The Moody Police Department is comprised of professionally trained peace officers, who are certified through the Alabama Peace Officers Training and Standards Commission (APOSTC), who provide outstanding services to the community year round. Our goal is to promote an atmosphere of safety, peace, and tranquility for all citizens who live and work in our great City. I look forward to working with all citizens, businesses, community leaders, Churches and schools. We must pledge to each other to do our utmost to make the City of Moody a safe and nurturing environment for everyone that lives, works or travels through our great City.
